Smother me.

I've been living in this new place for a few weeks now and we still haven't managed to get internet up and running. I won't turn this blog post into an online flaming of TPG but let's just say, they don't get five stars from me.

As I sit in bed with my tethered web connection, wasting time that could be spent reducing these dark junkie bags under my eyes, my mind is whirring in energy saver mode. I'm not focusing on any single thought but rather just feeling a general sense of ... Exhaustion.

I haven't felt so physically and mentally drained since I worked in occupational rehabilitation. It was my first job out of uni and I vividly recall hating my life so much that on the way to work, I would actually hope that the bus would crash so that I would be maimed and sent to hospital instead. No joke. I cried for three months (when I had the time) and ended up resigning.

About 50 days to go til I experience what I've hyped up to be the best time of my life in Europe.

Maybe it's the sad love songs I've been practising on the piano but sometimes I think about where I would be right now if everything had played out how I naively thought it would. It was always such a long shot. Ah, retrospect, you amuse me so.

Whirring whirring like a flimsy pedestal fan on a hot summer's day.
