Cryptic song lyrics go here
Today was a good day. I've been having many good days of late. Heck, it's been a good month. I'm happy. Except for the fact that I'm typing this on a bluetooth iPad mini keyboard and I have to really concentrate if I want to use an apostrophe. Maybe I just will not use any more contractions for the rest of this post. Will not. Ha.
This morning I forgot that I had agreed to supervise a student so when the coordinator popped by to quickly let me know where to meet the kid, I had to put on my best I-know-what-you-are-talking-about face and swallow the massive rush of panic rising from within. Especially because my senior was right next to me and we were talking about how I was managing. Shh. And then later a patient came in for his appointment which I had totally failed to diarise. I was openly confused and incompetent then. Story of my life, let us be honest here.
Needless to say, lunch time came around very quickly and I was starving. Lunch was ultra hipster healthy with cauliflower rice and other healthy, carbless (Thesaurus: tasteless, unsatisfying) goodies. Included were some cherry tomatoes I had kept in the fridge for almost a week. I mean, they looked alright. Not squishy or wrinkly or anything, I swear. I had a whole tomato in my mouth and was chomping down as a colleague was chatting to me. Calm face back on, I gestured that I was excusing myself, strode to the nearest box of tissues and quietly spluttered the fizzing, rancid mess into the tissue and all over my hands. I am really the epitome of a graceful lady.
Life is good though. You might even say the "Dog days are over."
