Dear Diary...

Almost 2am at the moment. I've got to wake up at 6AM latest to get to work today... Ha.. Nevermind.

I'm feeling really hyped up and grumpy. I had lots of sugar tonight. Lots of fruit, cake and some chocolate. *pats belly* Not as much sugar as I bought at Woolies earlier though. Here's a photo of my basket, haha oh man.

What's been happening in my world lately? Dunno, seems to be busier than it was some months ago. Despite working part time, I find myself doing a lot of things that involve not-saving money. I've been keeping an eye out for a permanent full time position in my field but I think part of me has given up hope. It's kind of like, "come on, Nam. You've been out of uni for 2 years and you're still hopeless at interviews. Just give up now and sell lollies for the rest of your life."

Selling lollies in a Dr Candy stand in the middle of Campbelltown Mall may have been my lowest point. No offence to anybody who is particularly passionate about wearing a hideous striped t-shirt made of 100% shiny polyester whilst swatting away little kids' fingers and pretending not to notice when customers are alarmed and/or outraged at how much they're being charged for some measly lollies.

I enjoy clinical work much more. Sometimes my imagination makes me giggle to myself at work. For example yesterday I read a doctor's notes and he'd written "chase sputum." It's always "chase so-and-so" and "aggressive physio" that makes me laugh. I picture a caricatured doctor running after a giant glob of phlegm and the glob is screaming for mercy. I picture a really angry physio demanding a patient to exercise their knee post-surgery. Hilarity, right?

... No?

Anyhoo, boyfriend's birthday is coming up. This time of year I always feel like I'm the worst girlfriend in the world because I don't know what to get him. What's worse is that he seems to remember the things I say I like or want.  He even remembers my schedule a lot of the time. More often than not, I forget everything he tells me. Sorry, hun. Got him a lame present this year but I suppose more useful than last year. Last year I bought him a hideous jacket that looked like it was made out of a tarpaulin. It may come in handy if he ever decides to morph into a ute.

Remember Ani-morphs? I don't recall whether I'd actually read any of the books as a kid, but I do remember holding one of the books, it may have been special edition or something because I was tilting it from side to side, awestruck by the 'magic motion'/lenticular printing thing that actually showed the morphing OMG.

Should probably sleep now. Gonna bring cake to work! Yay! The cake feels so dense and heavy to carry. Yay, exercise. You know you're beyond unfit when your only form of exercise is carrying a cake. Which you will then consume.

Toodles.
